Experience
Robert I. Lesser is Of Counsel to Goetz Platzer. He concentrates his practice in construction and commercial law matters. Robert has a long, well-established career in litigation and is widely recognized for negotiating settlements of complex disputes.
Robert’s clients have included construction contractors, real estate developers, design professionals, entrepreneurs, and management companies. He participates in the drafting and negotiation of contracts and assisting clients through every aspect of commercial litigation and alternative dispute resolution, providing clients with insightful business guidance and legal advice.
Prior to joining Goetz Fitzpatrick, Robert served as an Assistant District Attorney in Kings County, New York and practiced in a Manhattan-based law firm. He proceeded to found and co-found his own private law practices, which he ran for 20 years before becoming a part of Goetz Fitzpatrick in 2017.
Robert has written and spoken on various topics, including commercial mortgage foreclosures, loan workouts, and construction and business contracts. In 2020 he had his first book published, a work that seeks to aid small law firms and other service-based professionals in creating, growing, and maintaining a solid base of loyal clients.
