Arsenio Rodriguez is Counsel at Goetz Platzer. He has extensive experience and focuses his practice in the areas of Labor & Employment, Commercial Litigation, and Creditor’s Rights. Arsenio counsels clients on matters ranging from the simple to complex by helping them understand their responsibilities and obligations to their employees and litigating actions from demand letter through appeal when the matters present themselves. Arsenio has experience handling claims involving wage and hour violations, sexual harassment, wrongful termination, severance agreements, discrimination, breach of contract, and unjust enrichment as well as additional experience litigating matters under federal statutes such as the ADA, the Equal Pay Act, the FMLA, the FLSA, TILA, RESPA, and the WARN Act along with their New York State counterparts. Arsenio also assists in mitigating future disputes through compliance reviews, handbook creation and modification, and internal risk audits with regard to current policies and procedures.
Prior to joining Goetz Platzer, Arsenio was a Shareholder and Managing Attorney at Stern & Eisenberg P.C., where he managed the New York office for 4 years and represented large multi-national banks with respect to the enforcement of their rights on both residential and commercial properties. Before Stern & Eisenberg P.C., Arsenio was an employment law attorney for a regional law firm representing organizations against allegations of employment law violations, and he also assisted numerous co-op boards and condominium associations with grievances filed by property owners against their respective board members.
Arsenio’s previous experience includes working as plaintiff-side attorney at an employment law firm prosecuting several nationwide class action and collective action matters, and he started his legal career by serving for approximately three and a half years under the Honorable Richard A. Brown as an Assistant District Attorney in Queens County.
Arsenio is a member of and currently serves as the Treasurer for Region II of the Hispanic National Bar Association.
