Kristen Traganas is a seasoned commercial banking, commercial lending, and real estate attorney with two decades of experience representing lenders, borrowers, and institutional clients in sophisticated real estate and financing transactions. She has been admitted to practice in New York since 2007 and has handled transactions across the full lifecycle of commercial lending, from origination and closing through workouts, restructurings, and loan sales.

Throughout her career, Mrs. Traganas has represented institutional and private lenders in connection with secured and unsecured credit facilities, including term loans and revolving lines of credit, for multifamily, commercial, owner-occupied, middle-market, and small business borrowers. Her practice also includes financing for condominium boards and homeowners’ associations, secured by pledges of common charges, maintenance fees, assessments, and other receivables.

Mrs. Traganas has extensive experience negotiating complex tri-party and intercreditor arrangements, including lockbox agreements, deposit account control agreements, and cash management agreements. She regularly advises lenders on loan modifications, recast debt, forbearance arrangements, and workout strategies, and has drafted and negotiated default documentation and enforcement-related agreements. She has also represented lenders in loan sales and assignments, as well as borrowers in commercial real estate financings.

Her transactional experience includes the closing of large and complex loan portfolios, including multifamily portfolios with aggregate loan amounts approaching $100 million. She has also represented CMBS lenders and servicers in connection with national commercial mortgage loans involving hundreds of millions of dollars, including transactions with loan amounts as high as $900 million.

In addition to her lending practice, Mrs. Traganas has represented buyers and sellers in residential real estate transactions and has advised landlords and tenants in commercial leasing matters. She is widely recognized for her strong drafting skills, practical business judgment, and sophisticated negotiation approach. Over the course of her career, she has also mentored and trained attorneys, paralegals, and support staff, serving as a trusted resource within her firms.

Mrs. Traganas earned her Juris Doctor from Hofstra University School of Law, where she was published in the Hofstra Labor & Employment Law Journal. She received her Bachelor of Music in the Music Business Program from New York University’s Steinhardt School of Education.
