Robert J. Mastrogiacomo is a Senior Associate with Goetz Platzer, LLP and has thirty-six years of legal experience. He previously served as vice president/senior counsel for Israel Discount Bank and was a founding partner in Claffey & Mastrogiacomo, P.C.
Mr. Mastrogiacomo represents clients in various commercial matters, including Breach of Contract Actions, Collection matters, Bankruptcy/Insolvency related matters, Litigation/Trial Practice, Business Litigation, and General Commercial Litigation. He specializes in Commercial Foreclosures on behalf of financial institutions. Mr. Mastrogiacomo aggressively handles all aspects of the foreclosure process, including the review and analysis of loan documents, the initial preparation of the foreclosure complaint, and the drafting and negotiation of forbearance agreements, as well as other aspects of the litigation process. His involvement continues through the final surrender of the property.
Mr. Mastrogiacomo represents numerous financial institutions and debt buyers selling and purchasing loans from institutions either in pools of loans or single transactions. The loans sold include commercial and industrial loans, loans secured by real estate, and consumer loans.
Mr. Mastrogiacomo graduated from the State University of New York at Stony Brook in 1981 and New York Law School in 1988. Mr. Mastrogiacomo is admitted to the New York State Bar and is admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
