Goetz Platzer is pleased to announce that our construction law senior partner, John Simoni, secured a six-figure jury verdict, plus 9% interest, following a five-day trial in New York County on behalf of a Manhattan West Side townhouse owner. The case was brought against a residential contractor who breached a contractor warranty by failing to address defect items.
The trial involved multiple party and nonparty witnesses, as well as expert testimony supporting the owner’s claims. The jury returned a unanimous verdict after just 70 minutes of deliberation. Goetz Platzer is now pursuing judgment enforcement against the contractor.
